1. Data we collect
Price Radar doesn't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, email address, or phone number. Inside the app, we collect the following:
| Data | Description | Where it's kept |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous device ID | A random identifier (UUID) generated automatically on your device, not tied to your real identity. Used to track your scan quota and token balance. | Server |
| Product and price-tag photos | Photos of the item you scan and its price tag, sent to our server for AI-based analysis. | Server (temporary) |
| Scan history | Your past scans, the purchase price you entered, and your "Bought/Sold" status. | Device only |
| Token and purchase data | Your token balance and purchase transaction history (via our in-app purchase provider). | Server |
| Crash and usage data | App crashes, error reports, and general usage statistics. | Server |
2. Camera and photos
To run a scan, the app requests camera permission. The product and price-tag photos you take are sent through our server to an AI service to generate a price analysis. Photos are processed only for as long as needed to fulfill that request; they are not used to build a profile of you or for advertising. Photos taken during a scan are stored only on your own device so you can view them later in your history.
3. How we use it
- Analyzing a product photo to produce a price estimate and profit potential.
- Managing your token balance and scan quota tied to your device.
- Processing and verifying in-app purchases.
- Improving the app using crash reports and anonymous usage statistics.
- Detecting and preventing abuse (e.g. abnormal request volume).
Your data is never sold, and never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services
Running the app requires sharing limited data with the following service providers. Each processes data solely under its own terms of service and privacy policy.
Google Gemini API
Product and price-tag photos are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a price analysis. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Firebase (Google) — Crashlytics and Analytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to monitor app stability and understand general usage trends. These services may collect technical data such as device model, OS version, and in-app events.
Adapty
Token package purchases are processed through Adapty. Information necessary for the transaction (transaction ID, package purchased) is shared with Adapty.
5. Retention and security
Your scan history and photos are kept only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app. Device ID, token balance, and transaction records held on our servers are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, and are protected with reasonable technical safeguards. No method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request information about the data we process about you, request deletion or correction of that data, and object to certain processing (for example, under GDPR or Turkey's KVKK). Since the app doesn't require an account, you can request deletion of any server-side data tied to your device ID using the contact details below.
7. Children's privacy
Price Radar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" on this page and, where appropriate, announced via an in-app notice.
